Appointment Policies

Our appointment policies apply to all professional services provided by SAMPARK & CO, including IP and notary services offered through our websites, such as spco.au and notaryau.com.

As a professional service provider, our appointment times are limited, and we depend on your timely attendance and advance notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Below, you will find our appointment policies, which we kindly request you review before booking.

Business Hours

Our standard business hours are Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Sydney, Australia time).

When considering cancellation or rescheduling notice periods expressed in business hours, note that these differ from standard clock hours.

For example, if an appointment is at 3:00 PM, providing 4 business hours of notice means notifying us by 11:00 AM on the same business day.

Similarly, for a 10:00 AM appointment, providing 4 business hours of notice requires notification by 2:00 PM on the prior business day.

Rescheduling | Prepaid Appointments

More than 4 business hours' notice: No fee will apply.

Less than 4 business hours' notice:

• Notary Services: A fee of $165 or 50% of the appointment fee already paid, whichever is greater, will apply.
• IP Lawyer/Attorney Services: A fee of $275 or 50% of the appointment fee already paid, whichever is greater, will apply.

Cancellation | Prepaid Appointments

More than 8 business hours' notice: A 75% refund will be issued.

More than 4 but less than 8 business hours' notice: A 50% refund will be issued.

Less than 4 business hours' notice: No refund will be issued.

No-Shows | Prepaid Appointments

Missed appointments without prior notice will not qualify for a refund.

Lateness | Consultation Appointments

If you arrive late for a consultation:

• The appointment will be deemed to have started at the scheduled time.
• Extensions beyond the booked time may be available, subject to the attorney’s or notary’s availability. Additional time will be charged at the following rates:
• IP Attorney Professional Time Rate: listed in our schedule of fees on our www.spco.au website.
• Notary Professional Time Rate: listed in our schedule of fees on our wwww.notaryau.com website.

Lateness | Notary Appointments

If you arrive late for a notary appointment:

• The appointment will be deemed to have started at the scheduled time.
• If the service cannot be completed within the booked time due to lateness, a supplementary appointment may be required:
• Supplementary Appointment Fee: $165 (inclusive of GST) for up to 15 minutes.
• Supplementary appointments will be scheduled at the next available time/day if the notary cannot accommodate the delay immediately following the late appointment.
